Patients abroad

We offer hospitals help in repatriating foreign patients who are ready for transportation home. This allows the hospital to free up beds and resources for new patients.
Transplantation team
Hospitals performing organ transplantations need effective and safe transport solutions. If a donor and recipient are separated by long distances, the transplantation team must travel by air in a safe and efficient manner. GMS has the quality assured network and resources to coordinate and deliver the needed transportation solutions.
Medical treatment abroad
In some cases, it is necessary to transport patients to hospitals abroad for further specialised treatment. Such a transport might necessitate time spent time outside a hospital’s purview. At those times, coordination; logistics; transport; resources and personnel must be overseen by an agent outside of the hospital’s administration. GMS has the experience and resources necessary to assume responsibility in these scenarios.
GMS:
- Offers experts in aviation medicine (30 years of experience).
- Has a large international resource network as well as excellent logistics tools.
- Takes medical responsibility for patients from discharge at origin hospital or ambulance service up to reception at receiving hospital.
- Assumes responsibility for, and secures communication and coordination between, relevant third parties including receiving treatment institutions, insurance companies, family, transport companies, embassies and others.
- Maintains availability for contact, communication, and follow-up 24/7.
